Bread Courses

My first course was with Pete Murray.
Like all Bakers, he has his own method based on years of experience. I've been on his 'Introduction to bread making' and 'Artisan bread' courses.
He has managed to simplify my baking and dispel a few myths along the way.
I've probably read most of the books, but there is nothing like watching someone and trying it yourself.
Get in touch and sign on for one of his courses. You'll come away with 3 to 4 Kilos of bread (all included in the price). He's about half the price of other courses I've looked at.

At the end of October 2008 I attended a course in Bath, with Richard Bertinet, the Breadfather of baking. His books, Dough and Crust, are famous throughout the baking world.
He has a very different way of producing the dough to make bread and I came away with an evangelical new approach to the craft.
I can now produce soft bread with a good crust that I have no hesitation in giving to friends and neighbours to eat.
